The LIFE INSULAR project was featured in a new publication in La Voz de Lanzarote, which focuses on the work being carried out to conserve and restore the natural ecosystems of La Graciosa. Under the title “Life Insular: una alianza europea para cuidar el futuro de La Graciosa”, the media outlet highlights the island’s participation in this European initiative, which connects territories in the Canary Islands, Galicia and Ireland to address common challenges such as the spread of invasive alien species and the conservation of dune habitats. The article also mentions some of the actions planned in La Graciosa, such as the control of invasive flora and the improvement of routes towards La Francesa to reduce the impact on the dunes.
This publication helps bring LIFE INSULAR closer to the public and highlights the importance of conserving unique and particularly vulnerable ecosystems.
