A new eucalyptus regrowth control campaign has been completed on San Martiño Island, focused on the lighthouse area. This action is part of the conservation work carried out under the LIFE INSULAR project to curb the spread of this invasive species and promote the restoration of the area.
The work consisted of removing the new shoots that appeared after previous campaigns, helping to maintain the ecological balance of this protected natural area. These interventions reinforce the commitment to biodiversity conservation and the protection of the natural heritage of the Maritime-Terrestrial National Park of the Atlantic Islands of Galicia.
