On July 1, 2002, Law 15/2002 was approved, declaring the Maritime-Terrestrial National Park of the Atlantic Islands of Galicia, the main protected natural area that encompasses the Natura 2000 areas of Galicia included in the LIFE INSULAR project.
24 years of a unique National Park, 24 years of commitment, effort and enthusiasm. None of what this National Park is nowadays would be possible without the work of the people who are behind each program, each visit, each conservation and each daily gesture.
Thank you for making the Atlantic Islands a living, protected and beloved space. What we have achieved is enormous, and what lies ahead is exciting. We continue to move forward, always as a team.
