On May 7, the LIFE INSULAR works began for the restoration of habitats 2130* and 4030 on Illa de San Martiño, through the establishment of the plants produced by the project, from plant material of local and compatible origin, avoiding the introduction of non-native ecotypes.
This action is decisive for achieving a favourable conservation status of the habitats in island territories, through the increase of their occupied surface area, complying with the necessary precautionary measures for an action such as this, carried out in ecosystems of high fragility and high natural value.
