Last 16 April 2026, a networking workshop was held at Lurgabrack Nature Reserve (SAC Horn Head and Rinclevan), where the LIFE INSULAR team shared a field visit with the LIFE on Machair project for the exchange of experiences and the establishment of future synergies between both projects, as well as to learn on site about the machair landscape and the fixed dunes.
The visit was highly beneficial for the teams of the projects involved, highlighting the importance of this area in biodiversity conservation, given the coexistence of 4 LIFE projects there: LIFE INSULAR, LIFE On Machair, LIFE Wild Atlantic Nature, and LIFE Corncrake.
