On March 14, a volunteer day was held to restore island habitats by planting white crowberry (Corema album) in the dune ecosystems of the Cíes Islands. The day included volunteers, student interns, staff from the Atlantic Islands of Galicia Maritime-Terrestrial National Park, and TRAGSA personnel.
As a result of this event, and at the request of the participants, a female and a male white crowberry were planted, named after the saints of the day: Matilda and Lazarus of Milan.
