LIFE INSULAR has organized this past March 4th a local workshop for training staff of both Timanfaya and Galician Atlantic Islands National Parks, as a group directly involved in the management and conservation of island territories.
The event promoted the active dissemination of information and improved understanding of the characteristics and values of island habitats, as well as raising awareness about their conservation status and the threats they face.
This type of event helps to recognize the value of island territories as a natural, cultural, social, and economic resource, resulting in an increased impact on the transferability and replicability of LIFE INSULAR's outcomes.
