The progress in the removal of senescent forest formations with invasive species (mainly eucalyptus) during the year 2025 has seen its pace increase significantly on the occasion of LIFE INSULAR. In this way, almost the entire western part of the island of San Martiño is free of these formations, and is prepared for the restoration work of natural habitats through the use of native species produced from genetic material of local and compatible origin.
