The Atlantic Islands National Park of Galicia is carrying out the transfer of the plant produced by LIFE INSULAR at the Cíes Islands (Galicia), for its acclimatization before being used in island habitat restoration actions. This task is being carried out with the help of AMICOS, which involves people with intellectual disabilities who play a vital role in these recovery actions, as an example of active citizenship and the importance of an inclusive and integrative society. The synergy between LIFE INSULAR and AMICOS is very high, since they share the objectives of conserving natural heritage and biodiversity, as well as the inclusion and integration of citizens in restoration actions.
