During the month of July, the LIFE INSULAR team continues with the actions to eliminate invasive plants on the island of Ons (Galicia). In this case, the action allowed the elimination of formations of Zantedeschia aethiopica, Senecio angulatus, as well as the elimination of the regrowth of Eucalyptus globulus and Acacia melanoxylon, in the area known as Cova da Loba. The ring barking of eucalyptus trees was also carried out in the area around the dune of Melide beach, complemented by the placement of bat roost boxes. LIFE INSULAR's restoration strategy allows improving the state of conservation of natural habitats, and moving towards a greater naturalness of the island territories.
