The work to eliminate senescent forest plantations on the Island of San Martiño (Galicia), to restore natural habitats and improve their conservation status, is continuing at a good pace, meeting the schedule established in the project. The preliminary results of the monitoring of these actions are showing an improvement in the surface area, composition, structure, and future prospects of the target habitats. This translates into an improvement in their conservation status, which benefits the natural heritage and biodiversity of the island territories.
