Coillte Nature and NPWS, as beneficiaries of the LIFE INSULAR project, are monitoring the target habitats in the Raven Point Nature Reserve, County Wexford (Ireland). For this monitoring, several drone flights were carried out that allow us to appreciate the recovery and increase in the area covered by the grey dunes in the southern end of this space, where senescent forest plantations were eliminated in favor of these habitats. Consequently, the importance of implementing best practices to achieve the restoration of natural heritage and biodiversity, and the need for appropriate monitoring to verify the positive impacts of these measures, is highlighted.
