LIFE INSULAR has carried out a networking activity with the CABALGA project, which is an initiative that brings together scientific, fishing and social work to promote the protection and restoration of organisms that live on the seabed, through the reintroduction of fundamental species for the balance of these habitats. AMICOS participates in this initiative, which involves people with intellectual disabilities who play a vital role in these recovery actions, as an example of active citizenship and the importance of an inclusive and integrating society.
The synergy between both projects is very high, since they share restoration objectives in coastal and halophytic environments, which are of high interest for the conservation of biodiversity.
