In connection with the celebration of the day of the Parks and the Natura 2000 Network and in relation to the dissemination activities of the LIFE INSULAR project, the Autonomous Organism of National Parks (OAPN) carried out an activity consisting of two talks and a citizen science workshop. The activity was held on November 25th in Charco de San Ginés (Arrecife).
The talk on the Parks and the Natura 2000 Network was given by Pablo García, director of the Isla Lana Graciosa Center of the Autonomous Organism of National Parks. Later, a second talk and a workshop were given by Cristina Camacho. The talk focused on the marine ecosystems associated with the La Marina de Arrecife and the Charco de San Gines, delving into the knowledge of Valonia aegagropila as an ecosystem of great value. Associated with this talk, a citizen science workshop was held for the sampling of valonias and the recognition of associated species.
