The visit has made it possible to directly assess the progress of the first phase of the C3 action in the Irish Natura 2000 sites.
IBADER-USC, NPWS and Coillte Nature teams have visited The Raven Point Nature Reserve SAC (IE0000710), to directly assess the progress of conservation actions on habitat 2130*. The visit has made it possible to verify the execution of a first phase of the works foreseen in action C3, eliminating senescent forest plantations of Pinus corsicana on 10 ha of this dune system.
Work is expected to resume next autumn, when the removal of forest plantations will also begin in the 3 SACs of the project located in Co. Donegal.
